Hi! When installing I get a message that I need to have "microsoft.office.interop.access.dll" in the gac.
Q: Will this gac-dll also be needed on the client's machine running the wpf-program?

I tried to install the PIA package so that "microsoft.office.interop.access.dll" gets into the GAC. Unfortunately it isn't! All other interop dlls are there but not this one. It should be according to this list of dll's (choose version vs2010):

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/15s06t57(v=vs.100).aspx

Anyone else recognise this problem?

Anyways I am wondering if this really is supposed to be happening. Is there some way to remove the GAC-dependency? I read this post but really know too little... http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/3c684785-2f15-4ac3-be75-4ab0b65e357c/clickonce-install-fails-because-of-missing-assembly-but-dll-is-shown-as-prerequisite-auto

ExtendedDatagrid.dll depends on microsoft.office.interop.access.dll , can you try to include this in your deployment package.
If it is present in binaries it wont search for it in GAC.

Sorry, I haven't been able to get that far :-) I am not able to install wpf extended datagrid because the named dll is not in my gac. (Sounds good about not searching in the gac though)

Hi,

Are you going to use export to excel functionality?
If not download the source and remove reference of this dll where it is and comment out the lines depended on it.
And you are free from this dll.
You should install excel to use this.
